My group performs complex bioinformatic analyses of genomes to predict the structure and function of novel protein-coding genes, primarily from Metazoa. As a result of such analyses we have identified some novel multidomain proteins (e.g. the myostatin antagonists WFIKKN1, WFIKKN2) that we also study experimentally.
