Ecological genomics and adaptation of locusts

We have focused our research on molecular mechanisms of phenotypic plasticity and adaptation of insects, especially the migratory locust, as a model system for genomic and epigenetic approaches. The findings and scientific breakthroughs will provide crucial cues to revealing adaptive mysteries of insects to changing environments and to developing novel control approaches against swarming insects.
