Our group studies the microenvironment-mediated mechanisms of tumor maintenance, therapeutic resistance and recurrence in brain and liver malignancies, in order to to identify exploitable therapeutic vulnerabilities in macrophage heterogeneous subsets. Using mouse models of glioma and hepatocellular carcinoma combined with lineage tracing systems, we explore and target the functions of resident versus infiltrating macrophages.
