My group studies circular RNAs and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs); their life cycles, mechanisms, and functions. We also develop approaches to understand these RNAs and RNA-enriched nuclear bodies, especially the nucleolus and nuclear stress bodies. Our findings reveal novel functions for these RNAs, the nucleolus and key features of circular RNAs, providing the foundational knowledge for harnessing their therapeutic potential.
