Our lab is focused on understanding how natural selection and demographic processes have shaped the patterns of diversity of the human genome. We explore how pathogens have exerted pressure on host genes to unmask critical immunological mechanisms in infectious disease resistance. To this end, we combine population genetics and cellular genomics approaches, with computational modelling and development of new statistical frameworks.
