Gene transfer and therapy, targeted gene editing

We have pioneered the development of lentiviral vectors for gene transfer and led their clinical testing, where we have shown safety and efficacy for the treatment of severe inherited diseases. We continue to investigate new approaches for genetic engineering, such as targeted gene editing, and exploit them to gain insights into stem cell activity and tumor angiogenesis, and develop new strategies for treating genetic disease and cancer.
