Understanding beta cell failure in diabetes
Our research aims to uncover the molecular mechanisms that govern the formation and function of insulin-producing pancreatic beta cells, with the goal of developing novel therapies for diabetes. We integrate genetic approaches in human stem cell-derived organoids with single-cell genomics and genetic data to map gene regulatory programs in islet cells in health and disease.
