Adaptive responses during root development
As part of the Centre for Plant Integrative Biology (CPIB) at Nottingham, my group is employing a multi-disciplinary approach to study adaptive responses during root development. Innovative imaging techniques such as microCT are helping 'uncover the hidden half' and non-invasively visualize roots growing in soil, whilst systems approaches are proving instrumental to uncover the novel molecular mechanisms underpinning these adaptive responses.
