Our laboratory tries to decipher the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which counteracting forces exerted by cell-extracellular matrix interactions and actomyosin contractility regulate cell migration and cell shape during morphogenesis. We use Drosophila as our model system, and a multidisciplinary approach combining genetics, transcriptomic analysis, cell and molecular biology, 4D imaging, biophysical measurements and mathematical modelling.
