Immune system as a regulator of healthy aging

In our group, we have pioneered research showing that the decline of immune function with aging goes far beyond susceptibility to infection, cancer, or autoimmunity. Our work demonstrates that immunosenescence is also a key driver of cardiovascular, metabolic, and cognitive deterioration, establishing the immune system as a fundamental regulator of healthy aging.
