Daily cycles of physiological processes are controlled by the circadian clock, an internal self-sustainable timing system. My lab studies circadian mechanisms from molecular to system levels using mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics as core technology. Our aim is to understand circadian processes in healthy tissues and their alteration in diseases such as metabolic syndrome, cancer and sleep disorders.
