Our group is interested in the mechanisms of oriented cell division and stem cell fate determination. Specifically, we study macromolecular assemblies coordinating division orientation with epithelial polarity, which allow self-renewal and tissue homeostasis. For this, we combine high-resolution structural biology, biochemistry and cell biology. Recently we became interested in understanding the mechanistic basis of stem cell-niche communication.
