Genes, circuits and behaviour

We seek to understand molecular and cellular mechanisms that underpin the properties of neurons, and how these properties shape neural circuit activity to generate behaviour. To do this we combine optogenetics, neural imaging, cell biology, genetics and genomics in the well-described nervous system of C. elegans.
