Research in my group aims to define the regulatory circuit underlying the specification of dorsoventral (top-bottom) polarity in leaves. We use genetic, genomic, and quantitative imaging approaches to discern key network components, define their spatiotemporal interactions, and identify the mobile positional signals that drive these. Particularly, the role of small RNAs as mobile morphogen-like signals in this process is a main research focus.
