My group uses macromolecular crystallography, single-particle cryo-electron microscopy and analytical Biochemistry/Biophysics in combination with in vitro and in vivo functional assays to elucidate the molecular mechanisms, by which RNAs and proteins cooperate in molecular ribonucleoprotein (RNP) machineries. Our focus is on the regulation of bacterial transcription, pre-mRNA splicing and selected RNP remodeling enzymes.
