Mechanisms of molecular ribonucleoprotein machines

My group investigates molecular mechanisms by which proteins and RNAs cooperate to bring about the biological functions of molecular ribonucleoprotein (RNP) machines. We conduct ultra-structural analyses of ribonucleoprotein complexes and their components, predominantly by using X-ray crystallography, and perform structure-guided functional investigations. We also develop small molecules that modulate RNP activities.
