Our lab aims to understand the basic principles by which neural circuits implement fundamental brain functions such as learning and action-selection. Our goal is to combine brain-wide analysis of structure at synaptic resolution, activity, and behavior in the tractable model system, the Drosophila larva, to discover the circuit motifs, connectivity patterns, and molecules essential for these functions.
