We are passionate about using synthetic biology-inspired engineering strategies to program mammalian cells for therapeutic applications, such as biopharmaceutical manufacturing, drug discovery and cell-based therapies. Molecular prostheses, therapeutic gene circuits that enable implanted designer cells to monitor disease metabolites and process a dynamic closed-loop therapeutic response to prevent or correct the disease, remain a major focus.
