Our research investigates the rules and mechanisms underlying experience-dependent plasticity in insect models, with a particular focus on honey bees. Adopting an integrative neuroscience approach, involving behavioral methods, neurophysiological and molecular techniques, we aim to characterize the neural basis of cognitive processing in these animals, examining various sensory modalities and behavioral contexts.
