My group uses mathematical and biophysical modelling approaches to unravel molecular biology mechanisms that are too complex to dissect by intuition-driven experiments alone. I have used these approaches in two broad areas: epigenetic memory and cellular self-organization, working in long-term collaborations with experimentalists. Current research topics include Polycomb-based epigenetic memory, DNA methylation dynamics and meiotic crossover patterning.
