My research focuses on two main topics: (i) CRISPR-Cas systems and their development as next-generation genome engineering technologies and (ii) RNA processing and modification pathways in eukaryotic gene expression. We use structural, biochemical and functional approaches to investigate the molecular architectures and mechanisms of protein-nucleic acid complexes involved in these processes.
