Our research focuses on how parasites interact with their human hosts. We aim at understanding how malaria-causing parasites invade and remodel human erythrocytes and how parasites modulate the human immune system. We examine how neutralising antibodies block essential parasite processes and use this information to conduct structure-guided design of vaccine immunogens to prevent diseases such as malaria.
