Protein morphogenesis and mis-folding diseases.
My main interest nowadays is on the mechanism of protein morphogenesis and mis-folding events, investigated by transient spectroscopy and structural dynamics from nanoseconds to seconds. Our work has been recently extended to coupling between binding and folding of intrinsically disordered domains and frustrated states. Selective investigations focus on allosteric systems and conformational transition dynamics in monomeric and oligomeric proteins.
