Our lab is interested in understanding how gene expression is controlled at the RNA level, with a particular emphasis on the ADAR (Adenosine Deaminases Acting on RNA) family of enzymes. We are dissecting the physiological roles of ADARs in normal development and examining how aberrant ADAR activity can lead to human diseases. In addition, we are inventing new genomic technologies to facilitate our understanding of ADARs.
