My lab reconstituted immunological synapse formation using fluorescently tagged molecules from antigen presenting cells on supported lipid bilayers. This has enabled discovery of molecules and pathways involved in important immunological processes including cell-mediated killing, antigen capture, immune tolerance, costimulation and checkpoint blockade. We have recently developed higher throughput immunological synapse technology to accelerate discovery and translation.
