Vascular biology and metabolism

Growth and remodelling of the vasculature are intimately linked to the metabolism of the tissue it supplies. Research in the Potente laboratory aims to uncover mechanisms that underlie this metabolic linkage. We study how vascular cells sense metabolic signals and how they use this metabolic information to instruct tissue morphogenesis and function in development and disease.
