My lab investigates the molecular mechanisms regulating proteasome activity and their roles in cellular and systemic proteostasis. We develop advanced native mass spectrometry methods and combine them with biochemical, cellular, and animal model approaches. The integration of protein degradation biology with mass spectrometry tool development creates a powerful synergy that enables us to address otherwise inaccessible mechanistic questions.
