Our lab studies the signaling mechanisms that underlie the high degree of plasticity in plant development. The kind of questions that drive our research are: How do plants integrate environmental cues (light, temperature, etc.) and endogenous signals (age, nutritional state, etc.) to trigger the most appropriate developmental program? How do they distinguish between signals and noise? How have these mechanisms evolved?
