Our group studies the cellular principles that govern the generation of form and pattern at the tissue and organismal level during embryo development. We apply a process-level view of morphogenesis, with a quantitative interdisciplinary perspective in dialogue with the exact sciences, using teleost fish (zebrafish, annual killifish) and cross-species approaches. Our main research topics include: gastrulation, brain asymmetry and the gut-brain axis.
