Synapse biology in health and diseases
The research interest of our laboratory is related to synaptic plasticity in physiological and pathological conditions, with a focus on glutamate receptor trafficking and on the dynamics of the excitatory synapse. The final primary aim is to apply basic findings to a better understanding and eventually the cure of neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer's and Parkinson's Disease.
