My group focuses on elucidating molecular mechanisms of membrane trafficking and the involvement of the cytoskeleton in transport processes using cryo-EM. Of particular interest is the dynamic communication of proteins at the cell surface with the cytoskeleton such as actin and microtubules, and further with signaling factors. We aim to reconstitute minimal functional assemblies of essential proteins in the communication process.
