Population biology at multiple time-space scales

Together with a large number of close colleagues all over the world, I study population dynamics under biotic and abiotic drivers. An example of a biotic driver is density-dependence, and examples of abiotic drivers are climate variation and harvesting. I work on a broad spectrum of ecological systems, including marine, freshwater and terrestrial systems. Together with my colleagues, I use a range of methods spanning from statistical and mathematical modelling to genomics. During the past 20 years, the topics of cod and plague (both current and historical) has been of particular interest.
