Viruses have evolved sophisticated strategies to manipulate cellular pathways and reprogram host gene expression. Our lab studies the molecular mechanisms underlying these processes, with a particular focus on translational control and RNA metabolism during infection. Using cytomegalovirus and SARS-CoV-2 as model systems, we combine high throughput and mechanistic approaches to uncover new principles of virus-host interactions and RNA biology.
