Our group is interested in understanding the neural circuits involved in social behavior, memory and decision making. We use a range of electrical and optical techniques for measuring the behavior and neural activity of animals as they perform such behaviors, and develop new optogenetic tools and approaches that allow temporally and spatially precise manipulations of defined neural circuit elements.
