We study the cell biology and evolution of malaria parasites to understand how they reproduce, interact with their hosts and get transmitted by mosquitoes. Through our global genetic screening approaches in a rodent model, we aim to create molecular and data resources that help shed light on the evolution of a divergent eukaryote and contribute to the development of new strategies for stopping malaria.
