Neural stem cells for disease modeling and repair

My group focuses on the mechanisms underlying early neural specification and the application of this knowledge for deriving biomedically relevant neural cell types via controlled differentiation of pluripotent stem cells and direct cell fate conversion. A major interest of the lab is to use in-vitro generated human neural stem cells for modeling neurological disorders and neural regeneration.
