We focus on elucidating the membrane remodeling pathways that mediate the trafficking of material and information in and between cells. These include endocytosis, exocytosis, extracellular vesicle fusion, and cell-to-cell fusion. We combine the strengths of biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, and multimodal imaging, including 3D CLEM, to gain novel insights into the molecular mechanisms and physiological functions of membrane remodeling.
