The MET oncogene: a driver for cancer metastasis

investigation of the involvement of genetic alterations affecting the MET oncogene in multiple, still unexplored areas of cancer biology and therapy. We aim to provide the mechanistic explanation of how known and novel MET genetic alterations impact on cancer onset and progression to the invasive-metastatic phenotype. We aim then to define the therapeutic efficacy of MET inhibitors, including antibodies and novel chemical molecules.
