Molecular and cellular basis of bacterial infections

My laboratory investigates the molecular and cellular basis of bacterial infections, taking as a model Listeria monocytogenes. Our current research focuses on RNA regulation in bacteria, post-translational modifications during infection, organelle targeting in particular mitochondria and the nucleus, and interactions with the microbiota. It has impact on microbiology, cell biology and epigenetics.
