Our laboratory focuses on translational studies of the interplay between metabolic and inflammatory mechanisms in the pathogenesis of emerging and/or severe infectious diseases. Our main areas of research include: the biogenesis and functions of lipid droplets in host-pathogen interactions and cancer, the mechanisms underlying infection-driven long-term sequelae, and the functions of platelets in the immune response to infection.
