Stem cell self-renewal and sensory lineage diversification

My research is primarily focused in two research directions. While mechanisms establishing and maintaining pluripotency in stem cells are well known, less is known how proliferation during self-renewal is regulated which is one of the topics of my research. My research group also studies how transcriptional activity and cell signaling drives diversification of the sensory neuron lineage during development.
