Our group uses Arabidopsis thaliana as a model system, as well as genetics and molecular/cell biology tools, to investigate the biological relevance of alternative splicing in plants. We are currently focusing on the functional analysis of SR protein splicing regulators and of alternative splicing events in membrane transporter genes, with both lines of work uncovering key roles in plant responses to abiotic stress.
