Homeostasis of zinc and copper in health and disease

My group is primarily focused to elucidation the principles of cellular homeostasis of zinc and copper through functional and structural studies of key cellular zinc and copper proteins by application of mass spectrometry and structural methods. Another field of studies is connected with understanding the role of metal ions like zinc and copper in formation and toxicity of amyloid structures and pathology of Alzheimers disease.
