Over more than 50 years I have worked with a small group on the genetics of animal design. We use Drosophila. Our current interest is the genetic and molecular mechanisms of planar cell polarity, which we have studied for 20 years. We are also researching a new mode of communication between male and female during courtship, this involves vibratory signals that the male produces that are transmitted through the substrate.
