Somatic mutations in cancer and normal cells
My research programme focuses on the genetic changes our cells acquire throughout life, and how these mutations are related to ageing, cancer and disease processes. Areas of interest include: the identification of somatic mutation processes; the characterisation of patterns of cancer evolution; how somatic mutations delineate clonal relationships of normal cellular populations and how they affect normal cells' behaviour.
