Our lab seeks to achieve a thorough mechanistic understanding of how integral proteins and associated proteins and lipids are sorted and transported through the endosomal-lysosomal network. We apply this knowledge to understand and interpret the underlying deregulation of endosomal-lysosomal cargo sorting observed in human diseases, including neurological disorders, cardiovascular disease, metabolic diseases, and host-pathogen interactions.
