My group is interested in the mechanisms of DNA double-strand break repair by homologous recombination. Primarily we study the first steps in the recombination pathway that involve controlled nucleolytic resection of the DNA breaks in their preparation for repair. Additionally, we are interested in the final steps of resolution of recombination intermediates, with a focus on meiotic recombination proteins.
