Regulation of the innate immune system

The major aim of my laboratory is to dissect the signal transduction networks that control the production of inflammatory mediators during infection by bacteria and viruses and to understand how the deregulation of these pathways leads to inflammatory and autoimmune diseases. I am particularly interested in the interplay between phosphorylation and ubiquitylation in regulating innate immune signaling networks.

Keywords: Protein phosphorylation / pro-inflammatory cytokines / protein kinases / signal transduction / ubiquitylation

Subject area(s): Immunology | Proteins & Biochemistry | Signal Transduction
