My group studies the molecular and cell biology of virus infections. Focussing on Flaviviridae members (e.g. hepatitis C virus, Dengue virus) and the hepatitis B virus, we aim to understand the cell biology of the different steps of the viral replication cycle and the impact on innate immune responses. We also used the gained knowledge to develop novel antiviral therapies. We employ imaging, high-content screening and systems biology approaches.
