My research combines theoretical tools of non-equilibrium statistical physics and soft condensed matter to develop physical models of living systems, with a focus on cell migration and in close collaboration with experimentalists. My most important contributions are in the fields of random walk theory and search strategies, and active matter theory and its applications to cell motility, from the single-cell scale to cell collectives.
