The primary interest of our group is to understand the molecular mechanisms that dictate alternative 3' UTR formation and the temporal and spatial translational control of specific mRNAs by the CPEB-family of RNA-binding proteins. Our research is mainly directed towards the CPEB-functions in cell cycle progression and chromosome segregation, senescence and related pathologies, such as the reprogramming gene expression in cancer.
